The Challenge
Concert
For Sıla’s concert at Volkswagen Arena, UNIQ Istanbul, a visual system was designed to support the overall stage atmosphere while keeping the artist’s musical identity at the center.
This concert marked the first show of the tour built around her latest album, “Kafa Yüksek Kalp Kırık.” The visual language was therefore developed not only for a single performance, but as a foundation that could carry through the entire tour.
Within this project, all visual content for the LED screens was produced, along with the live show control. The intention was to avoid an overly dominant visual layer and instead create a minimal yet expressive visual language that supports Sıla’s presence and emotional performance.
The content was developed with a restrained approach. Color palette, motion design, and composition were carefully balanced to follow the emotional structure of the songs without distracting from the performance. The visuals were positioned as a subtle extension of the stage rather than a competing focal point.
All stage elements were approached as part of a unified system, with lighting, stage, and visual content working in close alignment. This collaborative process ensured a consistent and balanced atmosphere throughout the show.
The result was a controlled and minimal visual approach that enhanced the performance without overwhelming it, creating a clear and cohesive stage experience.
Equipment
Visual content was created using Cinema 4D and After Effects, while all live video routing and composition were managed through the Analog Way Aquilon C+. For live capture, Sony Venice cinema cameras were used to bring a cinematic IMAG layer to the stage.
All content playback and show control were handled via Resolume, ensuring a synchronized and flexible real-time workflow. Camera and video signals were processed through the Blackmagic ecosystem, with a fiber-based infrastructure enabling low-latency and stable transmission across the entire system.
